The Apple 'Coccinella'® (Malus) is a large, conical, deciduous shrub with decorative, egg-shaped, purple-red leaves. It also bears purple-violet, bowl-shaped flowers in May. These produce dark red, round fruits. In a sunny location with humusy, loose, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and grows to a width of around 6 metres.

Growth

Apple 'Coccinella'® is a large conical shrub. It usually reaches a height of 4 - 7 m and is approx. 4 - 6 m wide. It usually grows 20 - 30 cm per year.

High leaf ornamental value. The deciduous leaves of the Apple 'Coccinella'® are purple-red, ovate and alternate. Apple 'Coccinella'® turns bright orange-red in autumn.

The purple-violet, cupped flowers appear in May.
