Japanese spurge 'Green Carpet'® is a runner-forming and creeping semi-shrub. It usually reaches a height of 15 - 20 cm and grows to a width of approx. 10 - 30 cm.

The evergreen leaves of the Japanese spurge 'Green Carpet'®s are medium green, ovate, glossy, whorled and toothed. They are about 3 - 6 cm in size.

The white flowers of Japanese spurge 'Green Carpet'® appear in spikes from April to May.

Pachysandra terminalis 'Green Carpet'® is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms spreading, branching roots.

Preferred location in semi-shady to shady position.

The Japanese spurge 'Green Carpet'® has good frost hardiness.

Normal soil.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

- If the plant is divided every 2-3 years and weak roots and shoots are removed, the reward is better growth and flowering vigour!
- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the roots are encouraged to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
