Physocarpus opulifolius 'Dart´s Gold'

Ninebark 'Dart´s Gold' is an upright-growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 2 - 2.5 m and is approx. 2 - 2.5 m wide.

The shoots of Physocarpus opulifolius 'Dart´s Gold' are light brown in colour.

High leaf ornamental value. The deciduous leaves of the Ninebark 'Dart´s Gold' are greenish-yellow, ovate, alternate, lobed. They are about 5 - 10 cm in size. Ninebark 'Dart´s Gold' turns a bright amber yellow in autumn.

Exfoliating bark.

The white flowers of the Ninebark 'Dart´s Gold' appear in corymbs from June to July.

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Dart´s Gold' is a heart-root plant and, depending on the soil, forms sparsely branched roots.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Ninebark 'Dart´s Gold' has good frost hardiness.

Normal soil.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

- Excess water must be able to drain away easily and waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.
- Heavy pruning in spring encourages flowering.
