The Japanese cherry 'Shirotae' (Prunus serrulata) is an overhanging, picturesque large shrub with decorative fruits. It produces white, cup-shaped flowers in May. The Japanese cherry 'Shirotae' also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny location with well-drained, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.
