The Japanese cherry 'Royal Burgundy'® (Prunus serrulata) is a sprawling, funnel-shaped large shrub with decorative fruits. It produces pink-coloured flowers from the end of April to the beginning of May. The Japanese cherry 'Royal Burgundy'® also has egg-shaped, purple-red leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.
