The Sweet gum 'Worplesdon' (Liquidambar styraciflua) is a conical, upright tree with decorative, brown, round fruits that remain on the tree for a very long time. In May, it produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in spikes. The Sweet gum 'Worplesdon' also bears deeply slit, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with lime-free, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually grows to a height of around 15 metres and is around 8 metres wide.
