The Alder buckthorn 'Asplenifolia' (Frangula alnus) is an upright, dense, slender large shrub or bush with decorative, round fruits. The Alder buckthorn 'Asplenifolia' also has glossy, egg-shaped, deeply slit, medium green leaves. In a sunny to shady location with acidic, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres.
