The London plane 'Alphens Globe' (Platanus x hispanica) is an upright small tree with decorative, brown-yellow, round fruits that remain on the tree for a very long time. This is preceded by inconspicuous flowers. The London plane 'Alphens Globe' also has leathery, triangular, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 6.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 5 metres.
