The Apple 'Brandy Magic' (Malus) is a sprawling large shrub with decorative, orange-yellow, flat fruits. It produces dark pink, bowl-shaped flowers in April. The Apple 'Brandy Magic' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.

Growth

Apple 'Brandy Magic' is a large, spreading shrub. It usually reaches a height of 5 - 7 m and is approx. 4 - 6 m wide.

The deciduous leaves of the Apple 'Brandy Magic' are dark green, ovate, alternate. Bronze-coloured shoots. Apple 'Brandy Magic' turns bright red-brown in autumn.

Flower

The dark pink, cupped flowers are semi-double and appear in April. They grow to about 3 - 4 cm in size.

Fruit

The orange-yellow, flat fruits of Malus 'Brandy Magic' are particularly decorative. These appear from September.

Root

Malus 'Brandy Magic' is a heartroot.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny position.

The Apple 'Brandy Magic' has good frost hardiness.

Care

A slow-release fertiliser can be used in spring. This releases the nutrients slowly and continuously so that the plant is evenly supplied over a longer period of time.
