Golden privet is a bushy and dense growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 2 - 3 m and is approx. 2.5 - 5 m wide. It usually grows 10 - 15 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Golden privet are grey-green, ovate and opposite. Golden privet turns bright purple-red in autumn. Long lasting.

The white flowers of Golden privet appear in panicles from June to July.

The blue-grey fruits of Ligustrum obtusifolium regelianum are particularly decorative. These appear from September.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Golden privet has good frost hardiness.

Ligustrum obtusifolium regelianum is slightly poisonous.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

- This plant should not be pruned. Only broken or diseased branches should be removed in summer.
- If watered less frequently but thoroughly and thoroughly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
