The Mock orange 'Belle Etoile' (Philadelphus) is an upright, compact small shrub that produces white, cupped flowers with a strong fragrance. They appear from June to July. The Mock orange 'Belle Etoile' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres. The Mock orange 'Belle Etoile' makes no particular demands on the soil.

Growth

Mock orange 'Belle Etoile' is an upright and compact small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 m and is approx. 1 - 1.5 m wide. Slow growing. Usually grows 10 - 15 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Mock orange 'Belle Etoile's are medium green, ovate and opposite. They are about 3 - 5 cm in size.

Flower

The white, cupped flowers appear from June to July. They grow to about 5 - 6 cm and are strongly scented.
