The Mock orange 'Dame Blanche' (Philadelphus) is a dense, compact small shrub that produces white, cupped flowers with a strong fragrance. They appear from June to July. The Mock orange 'Dame Blanche' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 metres and grows to around 1.5 metres wide. The Mock orange 'Dame Blanche' makes no particular demands on the soil.

Growth

Mock orange 'Dame Blanche' is a dense and compact small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 m and is approx. 1 - 1.5 m wide. Slow growing. Usually grows 15 - 20 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Mock orange 'Dame Blanche's are dark green, ovate and opposite. They are about 3 - 6 cm in size.

Flower

The white, cupped flowers are semi-double and appear from June to July. They grow to about 3 - 4 cm and are strongly scented.
