Edible Flowers - The Most Beautiful Recipes

Flowers always look great – whether as beautiful garden decorations, on the windowsill, or in a delicious meal. Many flowers are edible!

Delicious Herb Butter with Edible Flowers

The flowers of daisies and nasturtiums are perfect for making homemade herb butter.

You will need:
• 5 tbsp daisy petals, finely chopped
• 5 tbsp nasturtium flowers, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp nasturtium leaves, finely chopped
• 250g butter

To make the herb butter, slightly warm the butter first so that it is soft enough to mix in the herbs. Once the butter is soft, stir in the finely chopped flowers and leaves. To present the herb butter in a lovely shape, you can portion the mixture into small molds. This way, the flower butter can be enjoyed in small servings. For a longer shelf life, it’s best to store it in the fridge.

Dandelion on Bread

It sounds strange, but it’s true: the dandelion plant is edible! Not only the petals but also the leaves are tasty. The flowers and leaves are perfect when combined on buttered bread. A great option for a quick snack!

Here comes the Flower Salad!

Horned violets, sunflowers, borage, and cornflowers all make a wonderful addition to a tasty flower salad. Daisies and dandelions also work well in a flower salad.

You will need:
• 1 handful of daisy leaves
• 1 handful of dandelion leaves
• Lemon juice
• 1 pinch of sugar
• Salt and pepper

Mix the lemon juice with sugar, salt, pepper, and oil to make a marinade. Wash the flower petals and pour the marinade over them. You can also arrange a few flowers decoratively on the plate.
