Easter on Your Doorstep

Easter is literally right at our doorstep this year! And because Easter decorations are an absolute must, we have something really special for you this time. Of course, the quintessential Easter plants can't be missing.

Grape hyacinths and small daffodils are essential for Easter decor. But these beautiful early bloomers are far too pretty to simply stick in a pot. So, with minimal effort, you can give them a very special spot:

- A wreath ring
- Flexible branches
- Moss
- Wire
- Eggs
- Small spring messengers (grape hyacinths and daffodils)
- A hot glue gun

Round and Round

To create a "net" for your early spring blooms, you'll use the branches, the ring, and the wire. First, hang the ring up to make working easier—door handles or coat hooks are perfect for this. Then, tie the branches around the ring with wire. At the bottom of the ring, you should form a small "basket" where the early bloomers will later be planted. The Easter wreath looks especially nice if the branches thin out at the top. The lower basket can then be easily spread apart and shaped by hand.

Preparation is Key

Birds are preparing their nests for their young, making them extra cozy. That's exactly what you'll do with the "net" in your Easter wreath. Line the small nest with moss to create a flat base.

For the eggs, crack them open at the top, making the opening large enough for the plants' roots to fit inside the eggshell. Rinse the eggs thoroughly. Then, use wire and hot glue to create a little "foot" for each egg, allowing them to be easily inserted into the moss. And then, your little plants can move in!

Into the Nest

To move your early bloomers into the eggshells, carefully remove them from their pots and gently tap off any excess soil. Then, place them into the eggshells and lightly press down with a bit of earth.

"Water" the plants in the eggshells using a spray bottle. This allows for controlled water delivery; a watering can would provide too much water, causing the eggshells to overflow. And then, your Easter wreath is ready to hang on the door!
