With its medium green leaves, Marsh marigold (Caltha polypetala) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges, streams and ponds. Yellow flowers appear from April to May. It prefers lime-free, loose, sandy, moist to wet soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The Marsh marigold is well tolerant of frost. The clump-forming plant usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm.
