The Rocky Mountain juniper 'Wichita Blue' (Juniperus virginiana) is a large shrub that grows columnar and usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and a width of around 1.5 metres. Its scale-like leaves are blue-grey in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil in a sunny position.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
