With its dark green leaves, the Rigid Hornwort (Ceratophyllum demersum) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as streams, ponds and aquariums. Green flowers appear from July to August. It prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to shady position. The Rigid Hornwort is well tolerant of frost. The plant usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm.

Growth

Ceratophyllum demersum can reach a height of 20 - 80 cm and a width of 10 - 15 cm.
