The Common walnut (Juglans regia) produces green-brown fruits. They are oval and have an aromatic flavour. Well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create the ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from September. Its green-yellow flowers are a beautiful sight. With its sprawling and picturesque growth, the Common walnut grows to around 20 metres high and 15 metres wide.

Planting time

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
