With its dark green leaves, the Marsh cinquefoil (Potentilla palustris) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for use in pots, bee pastures, pond edges and streams. Purple-red flowers appear from June to August. It prefers well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The Marsh cinquefoil is well tolerant of frost. The upright, creeping plant usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm.
