The Field Maple 'Anny`s Globe' (Acer campestre) is an upright, broad, compact, roundish large shrub or small tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in panicles. They appear in May. These produce brown winged fruits from August. The Field Maple 'Anny`s Globe' also has dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 6 metres.

Field Maple 'Anny`s Globe' is an upright, broad, compact and rounded large shrub or small tree. It usually reaches a height of 5 - 15 m and is approx. 4 - 6 m wide. Slow growing. Usually grows 20 - 30 cm per year.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of the Field Maple 'Anny`s Globe's are dark green, opposite, lobed. They are about 5 - 10 cm in size. Field Maple 'Anny`s Globe' turns bright orange-yellow in autumn.

Flower

The greenish-yellow flowers of Field Maple 'Anny`s Globe' appear in panicles in May.

Root

Acer campestre 'Anny`s Globe' is a heartroot and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
