The Umbrella bamboo 'Jumbo' (Fargesia murielae) with its light green leaf colouring and green-yellow stems is a decorative design element in the garden. What makes it special, apart from its dense and clump-forming shape, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers semi-shady to shady, sheltered locations with well-drained, nutrient-rich and slightly acidic soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 3 m wide.

Growth

Umbrella bamboo 'Jumbo' is a dense, clump-forming bamboo that can reach a height of 2 - 3 m and a width of 1 - 3 m. Rapidly growing. It usually grows 25 - 50 cm per year.
