This variety of Common Columbine is cherished for its charming, double, rosy-pink flowers, adding a whimsical and romantic touch to early summer gardens.

Clump-forming perennial. Grows 60-80 cm (24-31 inches) tall and 30-40 cm (12-16 inches) wide.

Leaf

Deciduous. Blue-green, finely lobed foliage, forming an attractive basal clump.

Flower

Abundant fully double, spurless, round flowers resembling pom-poms, in various shades of pink. Blooms from May to July. Attracts pollinators.

Location

Prefers partial shade; tolerates full sun in cooler climates or with consistent moisture.

Frost hardiness

Excellent (USDA Zones 3-8). Very cold-tolerant.

Soil

Needs moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Adaptable to various soil types.

Water

Medium water needs. Keep consistently moist, especially in dry periods.

Use

Ideal for cottage gardens, woodland edges, borders, and naturalized areas. Excellent as a cut flower.

Care
