Geranium sylvaticum f.albiflorum

Upright, clump-forming perennial. Grows 60-80 cm (24-31 inches) tall and 40-60 cm (16-24 inches) wide.

Deciduous. Deeply lobed, palmately divided, mid-green foliage.

Abundant, pure white, saucer-shaped flowers held above the foliage. Blooms profusely from May to July. Attracts pollinators.

Thrives in partial shade to full shade. Tolerates some morning sun.

Excellent (USDA Zones 3-8). Very cold-hardy.

Prefers moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Adaptable to various soil types.

Medium water needs. Keep consistently moist, especially during dry periods.

Ideal for woodland gardens, shady borders, underplanting trees and shrubs, and naturalistic designs.

Low maintenance. Can be cut back after the first flush of flowers to encourage a second, lighter bloom in late summer and to prevent excessive self-seeding.

Best planted in autumn or early spring.
