With its medium green leaf colouring, Purple moor-grass 'Heidezwerg' (Molinia caerulea) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also stands out with its clump-forming growth. The brown panicles of flowers adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with soil that is as well-drained and lime-free as possible. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and grows up to 30 cm wide.
