With its blue-green leaf colouring, the Sheep's fescue (Festuca ovina) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also stands out with its upright and clump-forming growth. The brown flower fronds adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny location with a well-drained, lime-free, slightly acidic, dry soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows up to 30 cm wide.

The wintergreen leaves of the Sheep's fescues are blue-green.

The brown flowers appear from July to August.
