With its dark green leaf colouring, Spring sedge 'The Beatles' (Carex caryophyllea) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also adorns containers on balconies or terraces with its overhanging growth. The green flower fronds adorn this grass from spring onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with a well-drained, lime-free, nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and grows up to 30 cm wide.
