The English yew 'Dovastonii Aurea' (Taxus baccata) is a large shrub that grows upright and broad, usually reaching a height of around 7 metres and a width of around 5.5 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves have a medium green colour. Decorative red cones adorn Taxus baccata 'Dovastonii Aurea' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
