The Rhododendron 'Bloombux'® (Rhododendron micranthum) produces a veritable sea of pink-coloured flowers in June. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This upright, compact, densely growing shrub usually reaches a height of 0.5 - 1 m and a width of 0.5 to 1.2 m. A semi-shady (to shady) location and well-drained soil create optimal conditions for healthy growth. The Rhododendron 'Bloombux'® is well tolerant of frost.

Growth

Rhododendron 'Bloombux'® is an upright, compact and dense small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 0.5 - 1 m and is approx. 0.5 - 1.2 m wide. It usually grows 6 - 10 cm per year.

Leaves

The Rhododendron 'Bloombux'® is evergreen and has dark green, lanceolate leaves.

Flower

The pink-coloured, funnel-shaped flowers appear in June. These are slightly fragrant.

Root

Rhododendron micranthum 'Bloombux'® is a shallow-rooting plant.

Location

Preferred location in semi-shady to shady position.

Frost hardiness

The Rhododendron 'Bloombux'® has good frost hardiness.
