With its dark green leaves, the Lesser bulrush (Typha angustifolia) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges, streams, ponds, landscapes and privacy screens. Brown flowers appear from July to August. It prefers humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny position. The Lesser bulrush is well tolerant of frost. The upright, runner-forming plant usually reaches a height of approx. 2 metres.
