The Common Water Plantain (Alisma plantago-aquatica) is an exceptionally decorative aquatic plant with dark green leaves, making it particularly well-suited for ponds, aquariums, bee pastures, and pond edges. Light pink flowers appear from June to August. It prefers humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to partially shaded location. The Common Water Plantain is highly frost-resistant. This upright, clump-forming plant typically reaches a height of about 1 m.
