The Apricot 'Kuresia'® (Prunus armeniaca) produces orange-yellow, medium-sized, juicy fruits. They are round and have a sweet flavour. Well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create the ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from July. Its pink-coloured, pleasantly fragrant flowers are a beautiful sight. The Apricot 'Kuresia'® grows upright to around 4 metres tall and 3 metres wide.

Growth

Apricot 'Kuresia'® is an upright growing small tree. It usually reaches a height of 3 - 4 m and is about 2 - 3 m wide. As a rule, it grows 30 - 50 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of Apricot 'Kuresia'® are medium green, ovate and serrated. They are about 5 - 10 cm in size.

Flower

Prunus armeniaca 'Kuresia'® forms cup-shaped, pink-coloured flowers from March. These exude a pleasant fragrance and grow to around 2.5 - 3 cm in size.

Fruit

Prunus armeniaca 'Kuresia'® forms orange-yellow, round fruits.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Apricot 'Kuresia'® has good frost hardiness.

Soil

Prunus armeniaca 'Kuresia'® prefers nutrient-rich, sufficiently moist soil.

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Care

- Thinning pruning is recommended, in which only the shoots that are too dense are removed.
- Fruit trees planted in spring must be watered generously throughout the summer. Well-rooted plants only require additional water in extremely dry conditions.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
