Potentilla fruticosa

Shrubby cinquefoil is a bushy and broad-growing small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.2 - 1.5 m and is approx. 1 - 1.5 m wide. It usually grows 10 - 40 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Shrubby cinquefoils are dark green, fingered. They are about 1 - 3 cm in size. Shrubby cinquefoil turns bright bronze in autumn.

The yellow, cup-shaped flowers appear from June to October.

Potentilla fruticosa is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Shrubby cinquefoil has good frost hardiness.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

- If watered less frequently but thoroughly and thoroughly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
- To increase vigour and flowering, the plant should be cut back a hand's breadth above the ground every 3-5 years.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
