The Japanese rose 'Dagmar Hastrup' (Rosa) is a rich-flowering rose that plays a special role in the garden. The numerous flowers are pink and appear from June to October. Their wonderful fragrance unfolds particularly on sunny, warm days. In addition, its round, red fruits have a special ornamental value when they are ripe from October. This shrub grows up to 1.5 metres tall and 1.8 metres wide with its upright and tight growth.

Japanese rose 'Dagmar Hastrup' is an upright and tightly growing shrub that can reach a height of 0.5 - 1.5 m and a width of 0.8 - 1.8 m. It usually grows 20 - 30 cm per year.

The shoots of Rosa rugosa 'Dagmar Hastrup' are spiny.

The deciduous leaves of the Japanese rose 'Dagmar Hastrup' are dark green, pinnate, glossy and alternate. They are about 8 - 15 cm in size. Japanese rose 'Dagmar Hastrup' turns a bright golden yellow in autumn.

Flower

The pink-coloured, cup-shaped flowers appear from June to October. They grow to around 6 - 8 cm in size and are pleasantly fragrant.

Fruit

The red, round fruits of Rosa rugosa 'Dagmar Hastrup' are particularly decorative. These appear from October.

Rosa rugosa 'Dagmar Hastrup' is a taproot and, depending on the soil, forms spreading, branching, runner-forming roots.
