The Cherry laurel 'Otto Luyken' (Prunus laurocerasus) is a bushy, broad small shrub that produces white, clustered flowers with a strong fragrance. They appear from May to June. They produce black, round fruits from August. They exude a strong fragrance. The Cherry laurel 'Otto Luyken' also has shiny, egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to shady, sheltered location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide.

Southeastern Europe.

The white flowers appear in a grapes von May bis June. They are strongly scented.

Care

Frozen shoots are cut back into the healthy wood as soon as there is no longer any danger of frost.If watered less frequently, but thoroughly and penetratingly, the plant roots are stimulated to penetrate into deeper soil layers. As a result, the plant survives dry periods better.
