The Greengage 'Oullins Reneklode' (Prunus domestica) produces yellow, large, medium-firm and juicy fruits. They are round and have a sweet, spicy flavour. Well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny location create the ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from the end of July. Its white flowers are a beautiful sight. The Greengage 'Oullins Reneklode' grows upright to around 10 metres high and 6 metres wide.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of Greengage 'Oullins Reneklode' are medium green, egg-shaped. Greengage 'Oullins Reneklode' turns bright yellow in autumn.

Bark

Brown, smooth bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.

Flower

Prunus domestica subsp. italica 'Oullins Reneklode' forms white flowers from March.

Fruit

The yellow, large drupes have a sweet, spicy flavour. The flesh of these round drupes is medium firm and juicy. Ripen from the end of July.

Fertiliser varieties

This plant is not self-fertile and needs support to bear fruit. The following plants are recommended as good pollinators:
- Prunus domestica 'Reine Claude d'Oullins'.

Prunus domestica subsp. italica 'Oullins Reneklode' prefers nutrient-rich, sufficiently moist soil.

Disease resistance

The following diseases must be considered for Prunus domestica subsp. italica 'Oullins Reneklode':
- Scharka virus: healthy variety.

Water

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Care

- Cut and saw wounds as well as broken branches should be treated with a wound sealant as soon as possible to prevent pathogens from entering the plant.
- Fruit trees planted in spring must be watered generously throughout the summer. Well-rooted plants only require additional water in extremely dry conditions.

Planting time

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
