The Plum 'Stanley' (Prunus domestica) produces dark blue fruits. They have a sweet, aromatic flavour. Well-drained, humus-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create the ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from September. Their white flowers are a beautiful sight. With its bushy, upright and broad growth, the Plum 'Stanley' grows to around 8 metres high and 6 metres wide.

Plum 'Stanley' is a bushy, upright and broad-growing small tree that can reach a height of 5 - 8 m and a width of 4 - 6 m.

Prunus domestica subsp. domestica 'Stanley' forms white flowers from April.

Fruit

The dark blue drupes have a sweet, aromatic flavour. Ripening time from September.

Fertiliser varieties

This plant is not self-fertile and needs support to bear fruit. The following plants are recommended as good pollinators:

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Care

- Cut and saw wounds as well as broken branches should be treated with a wound sealant as soon as possible to prevent pathogens from entering the plant.
- Fruit trees planted in spring must be watered generously throughout the summer. Well-rooted plants only require additional water in extremely dry conditions.
- Cut back boldly in spring so that the plant grows compactly.

Planting time

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
