The Phlox 'Crackerjack' (Phlox douglasii) is a broad, creeping perennial that forms carmine-red, wheel-shaped flowers arranged in umbels from April to June. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 10 cm and is approx. 30 cm wide. The Phlox 'Crackerjack' is well tolerant of frost.

Care

- Excess water must be able to drain away easily and waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.
- If the plant is divided every 2-3 years and weak roots and shoots are removed, the reward is better growth and flowering vigour!

Planting: Autumn, depending on variety also in spring.
