The Japanese holly 'Hetzii' (Ilex crenata) is an upright, broad shrub with decorative, black fruits that stay on for a very long time. It produces creamy white flowers from May to June. The Japanese holly 'Hetzii' also has roundish, medium green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 metres and grows to around 1.8 metres wide.

Japanese holly 'Hetzii' is an upright and broad-growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 m and is approx. 1 - 1.8 m wide. Slow growing. It usually grows 10 - 15 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of the Japanese holly 'Hetzii' are medium green, roundish, alternate. They are about 2 - 3 cm in size.

Flower

The creamy white flowers appear from May to June.

Fruit

The black fruits of Ilex crenata 'Hetzii' are particularly decorative. Adhere for a very long time.
