The Japanese holly 'Green Lustre' (Ilex crenata) is a broad, dense small shrub with decorative, black fruits. It produces creamy white flowers from May to June. The Japanese holly 'Green Lustre' also has roundish, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2.5 metres.

Japanese holly 'Green Lustre' is a small shrub that grows broadly and densely. It usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 m and is approx. 2 - 2.5 m wide. Slow growing. It usually grows 10 - 15 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of the Japanese holly 'Green Lustre' are dark green, roundish, alternate. They are about 2 - 3 cm in size.

The creamy white flowers appear from May to June.
