The Common holly 'Golden van Tol' (Ilex aquifolium) is a sprawling, pyramidal large shrub with decorative, red, round fruits that stay on for a very long time. The Common holly 'Golden van Tol' also has glossy, lanceolate, rounded, dark green leaves with a yellow edge. In a semi-shady to shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres.

Leaves

Fruit

The red, round drupes of Ilex aquifolium 'Golden van Tol' are particularly decorative. These appear from September and are very long-lasting.
