180 Years of Baumschule Lorberg

Since 1843, Baumschule Lorberg has been in operation. Seven generations of the Lorberg family have already managed the company, which was founded by Heinrich Gottlob Lorberg. A look at the history of the nursery and the Lorberg family's story can be found under "History."

To celebrate this special anniversary in style, we held a celebration on December 14, 2023, at our location in Kleinziethen with many guests from the gardening and landscaping industry, architects, architectural firms, partners, and customers.

In addition to a retrospective on the history of the company and words from the management team about the business and employees, there was also an exciting review of the past by Mr. Oliver Hoch, the Managing Director of the Garden, Landscaping, and Sports Field Construction Association of Berlin and Brandenburg.

Finally, we presented our new "180 Years Baumschule Lorberg" magazine, which highlights the history, current important topics in the tree nursery industry, and special insights into the work and motivation of selected employees.

Selected architects and architectural firms also contributed exciting articles for this magazine on topics that concern them and the green industry.

We would like to thank them again for their valuable contributions!

Our guests left with a full stomach, a 138-page magazine, and a small future tree, a Parrotia persica (Ironwood tree). The evening was a great success, and we are happy that so many of you celebrated with us.
