Don't Be Afraid of Plants in the Bathroom! Many Plants Feel Super Comfortable Here

Anyone who loves plants can't do without them in their home. Many people are convinced they've placed at least one flower pot in every room. But really in every room? Many have forgotten their bathroom. The first place you go in the morning when you leave the realm of dreams, and the last place you enter at night when you can surrender to restful sleep. There's absolutely no need to do without green roommates here. On the contrary, with the very special climate that prevails, some plants can truly make themselves comfortable. Humidity and warmth are welcome for many plants, and they can distinguish well between moist and wet living conditions.

Perhaps you've often used your shower or bathtub to rinse off a plant or two, thoroughly cleaning its leaves. But then the plant moved back to its usual spot in another room. Yet, there are such wonderful specimens that dream of residing in an atmosphere with high humidity. Others are so flexible that they simply thrive anywhere and are no exception in the bathroom.

Let's start with a bang. The Queen of Orchids, the "Cattleya," presents itself as a wonderful decoration on the bathroom shelf. Be sure to place it so that it's the very first thing you see when you walk in the door. The day can hardly begin more beautifully. It lets its magnificent blooms sprout in the winter months, when you're craving splashes of color anyway. Then, we can immediately continue with an equally expressive and charming continuous bloomer. The "Flamingo Flower" displays its great color combination of red and white all year round. This unique plant, which is even suitable for allergy sufferers, finds itself wonderfully at home in any bathroom.

Do you like a Mediterranean flair? A graceful palm like the "Phoenix" fits perfectly with pleasant warm tones. It loves to adorn itself with the remnants of its own leaves, which it effectively drapes around its trunk. Its most beautiful attribute, of course, is its magnificent fronds. It can be kept as a bathroom decoration with no effort at all. But it's not the only one of its kind. There's competition in the form of the "Burning Palm" (Dypsis decaryi). Its distinctive, delicate fronds are its individual trademark. Its growth activity is strong. But if it gets too big, it can easily move to a balcony or terrace. Or would you prefer something exotic to put you in a good mood while brushing your teeth? The "Billbergia" comes in handy. This pineapple plant boasts impressive, extravagant blooms throughout the summer and also has attractive bracts in its botanical luggage.

Those who love foliage plants can also adorn their bathroom with them. The "Caladium" is ready. It grows to about 35 centimeters high and just as wide. Its foliage comes in a wonderfully colorful dress. Its outfit is among the most vibrant of all foliage plants, and the patterns and colors constantly appear in new forms. Whether as a shelf embellishment or on the windowsill – it's an eye-catcher. The "Neoregelia" also stands out. It too shines with multi-colored foliage. In many species, the lower green leaves transition into red bracts. It averages half a meter in height and needs light. It feels perfectly at home directly on the bathroom window.

Last, but not least, remains a plant for the friend of true naturalness. It manages without a riot of colorful hues and scores with its special shape and fresh green. The "Cliff Fern" is a class of its own. It unites the primordiality inherent in every fern with the unique development of its fronds. They are by no means delicately feathered but present themselves in a cozy round shape. As if that weren't enough, this appealing plant also has a high-gloss finish on its leaves.

Whoever becomes your personal favorite bathroom plant – you'll have a lot of joy with it!
