The Forget-Me-Not as a Spring Messenger

There are two legends about the Forget-Me-Not. In one, the dear God forgets to give it a name, and in the other, it forgets Him. Either way – it’s simply enchanting!

The small, delicate flowers accompany us through spring, and the wide color palette makes this tiny, dainty flower never get boring.

Charming both alone and in company

This small plant still delights every gardener today. With a history spanning centuries, it received its name in the Middle Ages. A Forget-Me-Not in the flowerbed is the true herald of spring. Its blue floral splendor can occupy a larger area. The delicate flowers, appearing in cluster or spike-like shapes, display their typical yellowish spots in the center. A Forget-Me-Not in the flowerbed harmonizes well with other plants that joyfully bid farewell to winter. Tulips, delicate crocuses, or full hyacinths are perfect companions. For a special color contrast, consider pairing it with cushion plants or Christmas roses.

Also effective as a cut flower

A Forget-Me-Not in the flowerbed always evokes romantic feelings, as it has long been associated with love and loyalty. Today, there are several dozen species. In addition to many shades of sky blue and a more intense tone, there are also variations in white and pink. A small bouquet makes a perfect gift and brings joy to anyone. Fortunately, the Forget-Me-Not doesn't mind if a few stems are snipped. On the contrary, it generously spreads its seeds around the area.

A small but lovely bee pasture

Bees also love the Forget-Me-Not in the flowerbed, including the woodland variety, which is becoming increasingly popular in gardens. It enjoys partial shade and likes to spread its blue blooms along the edge of shrubs. The marsh Forget-Me-Not, which thrives near water, is an equally great bee pasture. Primroses, knotweed, and irises make pleasant neighbors. But it doesn't have to stop at the flowerbed – balcony boxes and terrace containers are also welcome.
