Looking to Restyle Your Garden? Here's How to Do It Quickly!

If you're looking for a fresh look in your home during spring cleaning, you might quickly rearrange the furniture. But some people want to do that in their garden too – something new is desired, and the old view needs to change.

Integrating Time-Tested Elements

Old bushes and trees that aren't meant to be removed anyway should ideally remain in place. What has grown over years is difficult to relocate. But even so, there's still plenty of opportunity to introduce new elements.

Flower Pots Especially Make a Huge Difference

If you primarily design your garden with flower pots and planters, you can quickly change their location, especially in spring when they are brought out of winter storage anyway. Significant changes can also be achieved by replanting the containers differently. For example, planting a standard lemon tree or a standard fuchsia instead of cascading summer flowers creates a completely different look.

Replacing Decorative Elements

What you've set up for decoration can be quickly changed, either by moving it to a new spot or buying something new. Don't throw away old items; they'll likely find a perfect place in your next garden restyling project. Unused tables and chairs can be great for garden decor and should be painted and treated accordingly.

Terrace and More

If your terrace or seating area isn't looking its best, you can start by renewing the flooring. A new surface, for example, made of frost-proof tiles (on concrete) or wood (on beam substructures), can make a huge difference. Even artificial turf (a type of outdoor carpet with a grass look and nubs for water drainage) can significantly change the appearance. New outdoor lighting, from seating area illumination to decorative lights, also gives your property a fresh look.

Creating or Changing Flowerbeds

You can also restyle your garden by creating new beds, relocating existing ones, or even removing them entirely. This creates new green spaces that differ in shape and size from the old ones, thus renewing the overall look. Planting a few new bushes that bloom in summer introduces different colors, and ornamental grasses, available in many varieties, are particularly chic. These ornamental grasses can be chosen for their size to immediately form a privacy screen and are considered low-maintenance, as they are cut back in autumn or spring and simply regrow.
