Good Furniture in the Greenhouse Creates Space

A greenhouse is every gardener's pride. Here, you can simulate a climate that doesn't exist in our latitudes, or only much later in the year. This allows the plant lover to create a paradise for exotics and crops that wouldn't normally survive in their garden.

Furniture for the Greenhouse

Many varieties and sizes of these glass or film houses can be set up by yourself after purchase. When planning, the choice of the right furniture should always be considered. By setting up shelves and tables, significantly more plants can be accommodated, and the space in the greenhouse can be optimally utilized.

The Right Material

A special climate prevails in the greenhouse. The humid warmth that many plants love means that wooden furniture doesn't last long. Therefore, you should opt for alternatives like plastic or aluminum. Ideally, instead of immovable elements, mobile potting tables can be set up. They are lightweight, easy to clean, and always allow for flexible rearrangements.

Shelves and More

Aluminum shelves are available in various designs and sizes. Adjustable shelves also guarantee a certain degree of flexibility here. Some greenhouses even come with integrated wall fixtures, allowing shelves to be hooked onto the rails and profiles of the walls. However, you should always remember that plants can't simply be stacked on top of each other like inanimate objects. Especially cuttings still need to get enough light, and space is also needed for watering. Therefore, the shelves should not be placed too closely together.

Particularly Attractive Models

In large greenhouses, where you spend a considerable amount of time, some people value details and design, not just functionality. Therefore, in addition to simple freestanding shelves and metal potting tables, there are also ornate models, for example, with a vintage character. These alternatives are proportionally more expensive, but they also lend an individual charm to the greenhouse.

Optimal Use of the Greenhouse

If there are corners in the greenhouse that don't get much sun, or where the space isn't ideal for plants for other reasons, you can store the garden tools and plant pots you need in the greenhouse here. This way, you always have everything at hand and can optimize your workflows.
