The Macedonian scabious (Knautia macedonica) is an upright, loose perennial that produces purple-red flowers from August to September. Its egg-shaped leaves are green. In a sunny location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 60 cm wide. The Macedonian scabious is well tolerant of frost.
