The Common orange day lily (Hemerocallis fulva) is an upright, runner-forming perennial that produces red-brown, funnel-shaped flowers from July to August. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 80 cm. The Common orange day lily is well tolerant of frost.
