The Alpine eryngo 'Blue Star' (Eryngium alpinum) is an upright, loose perennial with decorative, lanceolate, toothed, silver-blue leaves. It bears blue-grey flowers from July to August. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 50 cm wide. The Alpine eryngo 'Blue Star' is well tolerant of frost.

Care

- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the roots are encouraged to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
