The Gold dust 'Compactum' (Aurinia saxatilis) is a cushion-shaped, winter-green perennial that forms golden-yellow, wheel-shaped flowers from April to May. Its lanceolate leaves are grey-green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Gold dust 'Compactum' is well tolerant of frost.
