The Great blue-bottle 'Grandiflora' (Centaurea montana) is a bushy perennial that produces blue, basket-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from May to June. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Great blue-bottle 'Grandiflora' is well tolerant of frost.

- Faded inflorescences should be cut back. This measure promotes new growth.
